Our trip to the Holyoke Children's Museum

Jason didn't have to work this Monday so we decided to have a fun family outing to the Holyoke Children's Museum. Isabel had a blast and of course she hated to leave. Her favorite by far was the sand table. There's a pendulum in the middle that makes designs and there are lots of shovel and cups for the kids to play with the sand. I thought it was pretty cool too!
They had a little town set up there with a grocery store, a diner, and most importantly to Isabel, a vet clinic with tons of stuffed animals to doctor. She picked out her puppy and took very good care of him.

She tried to take him for a walk, but decided that he was tired and needed to go to sleep in his cage. This part was definitely her second favorite of the whole place. She also loved the bubble maker which let the kids make gigantic bubbles. They have a huge climbing structure also that Isabel kept wanting to play on, but then she'd get intimidated and want out again. Maybe next time.
This is just a random pic taken after playing in the snow. She was patiently waiting for hot chocolate and I just wanted to take a pic of her pink cheeks. She gets these perfectly round pink circles on her cheeks when she's out in the cold. I thought it was pretty cute. The only thing that will entice her in from outside is hot chocolate. I guess she takes after me, I was exactly the same as a kid. I'm so glad she loves the outdoors so much. Now I just can't wait to get skis on her!

Sounds like a great museum. It's cool that there's fun things like that to do with Isabel nearby. I love that idea of having a little town set up for the kids. What kid wouldn't enjoy that?
