Here's some cute pics from the past week. Rowan recently turned 3, I can't believe it! I forgot to bring my camera to the party, so hopefully soon I can get the pics off my dad's camera and post some. The day before his party Isabel had a bit of an accident. She was at my parents' house, as usual on Fridays, and was just standing on the steps leading up to their porch watching my dad kick a ball up onto the roof. Apparently she was looking way up high and lost her balance and fell on her face. She landed right on her nose and scraped it up and bruised it pretty good. It's healing really quickly, but for a couple of days she looked pretty awful, all black and blue and swollen and scraped. You can see a little bit of it in some of these pics, but I didn't manage to get a pic of it at it's worst. Yesterday we went to the playground again and of course I took some more pics.
Isabel insisted on taking this bear all over the playground even sending it down the slides.
She wasn't very interested in having her photo taken, usually running away from me whenever I stuck the camera in her face.
Little Sophia is getting so pretty! She didn't mind at all having her photo taken, she is just the sweetest, most mellow child. She rarely cries! This was taken on Saturday night after Rowan's birthday party. Isabel never took a nap that day, but then she fell asleep on the floor at 6pm. Jason and I just left her there and ate dinner out on the deck without her. The tv was on, the dishwasher was running, and we were walking all around her, and still she stayed asleep on the hardwood floor for about an hour! Poor tired little kid!
The weather has been amazing here and we've been getting outside every chance we get. Isabel doesn't want to miss a second of anything, so we've had some battles at nap time and bedtime. She thinks she's ready to give up nap time, but when she misses it she ends up like the pic above, and I'm just not ready to give up nap time either! :) But she is very definitely a stubborn 2 year old, and is pretty challenging sometimes. My patience is being tested often. I guess it's about time that the terrible twos hit, since she over 2 1/2 now. All in all she's a fun kid to be around and we have a blast together, just not at nap time! ;)

How funny that she didn't want her photo taken. It must be all those scrapes and bruises on her face. I'm glad you're enjoying summer weather!
We missed the terrible two's and now do we ever have the terrible three's. I heard at 4 they finally start to get it and obey a lot better. Poor baby with the smack on the nose, but thank God she didn't hurt any teeth! I am always scared that Abby will break teeth. I love to see her with the ballcap on backwards and in SHORTS! Good God, it's still snowing here (Friday night and Saturday), and you people are wearing shorts. Argh!
